1984...
AT&T is broken up, Beverly Hills Cop tops the box office, average
price of new home less than $87,000, Reagan trounces Mondale,
Microsoft Windows 1.0 in pre release, Clara Peller asks "Where's
the Beef?", Apple releases it's first Macintosh computer, and
Dataworks Inc. becomes New York City's first media replication
facility. 1984 was the era of the 5 1/4 inch floppy disk and demand
for software was exploding. Starting out in midtown Manhattan,
Dataworks quickly established itself as NYC's go to company for
media replication and almost 30 years later, we still are.
